Plate heat exchanger Classification
In general, we mainly distinguish plate heat exchangers according to their structure, that is, according to their appearance, which can be divided into four categories: ① Detachable plate heat exchangers (also called plate heat exchangers with sealing gaskets), ②Welded plate heat exchanger, ③Spiral plate heat exchanger, ④Plate coil heat exchanger (also called honeycomb heat exchanger).
Among them, welded plate heat exchangers are divided into: semi-welded plate heat exchangers, fully welded plate heat exchangers, plate-shell heat exchangers, and brazed plate heat exchangers.
Structural principle
The detachable plate heat exchanger is made of many punched corrugated thin plates at a certain interval, sealed by gaskets around them, and overlapped and compressed with frames and compression screws. The four corner holes of the plates and gaskets form fluid separation. At the same time, the cold and hot fluids are reasonably separated, so that they flow in the flow channels on both sides of each plate and exchange heat through the plates.
The optimal design calculation of the plate heat exchanger is to reasonably determine its model, process and heat transfer area under the condition of known temperature difference ratio NTUE, so that NTUp is equal to NTUE.
